Google Cloud to rename Vertex AI to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform

Google Cloud has announced that Vertex AI will undergo a rebranding and expansion. In April 2026, Vertex AI is scheduled to be renamed to the ‘Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform’.

Under this transition, Vertex AI Platform will become the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Vertex AI Studio will transition to Agent Studio, and the Vertex AI API will become the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform API. The API is designed for integrating generative AI models, such as Gemini, into business systems by leveraging Google Cloud’s Identity and Access Management (IAM), monitoring, and networking capabilities. While the name is changing, existing endpoints like ‘aiplatform.googleapis.com’ may remain in use within current codebases.
