Google expands AI tools in education, adopted by Zaragoza art school

The Escuela de Arte de Zaragoza will provide all students with individual Google Workspace for Education accounts, giving access to Gmail, Classroom, Drive and other collaboration apps. Materials such as Adobe Cloud licences are also included in tuition fees for various art and design programmes.

At the ISTE 2026 conference, Google announced the rollout of its Gemini generative‑AI model across existing EdTech platforms, including Moodle and Notebook LM, and launched a free AI‑Educator Series aimed at millions of U.S. teachers. The move marks a strategic push to embed AI in classrooms while raising regulatory questions in Europe about data concentration and privacy.

Google’s focus on teacher training and integration with familiar tools highlights a shift toward AI‑enhanced learning, but also prompts calls for oversight to protect student information.
