Google expands Gemini AI features for Drive and students
Google is expanding its Gemini AI integration across its ecosystem. A new feature called ‘Organize My Files’ is being rolled out for Google Drive, allowing users to receive AI-generated suggestions for moving files into more organized folder structures. This tool analyzes existing folder patterns and suggests moves, though it cannot rename files or read file contents for its suggestions. Access to this feature requires a Google AI Pro or AI Ultra subscription, or specific Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts.
Additionally, Google has announced a specialized AI package for university students in Turkey. Undergraduate and graduate students can apply for a 12-month free subscription to the Google AI Plus package. This offer includes access to the Gemini 3.1 Pro model, a Deep Research module for academic literature reviews, and 400 GB of cloud storage to assist with academic projects and documentation.
