Google expands CC AI agent to manage family logistics

Google is expanding its experimental AI project, CC, from a personal productivity tool into a collaborative agent designed for household management. Developed through Google Labs and powered by Gemini models, the system allows up to six family members to share a dedicated Google account to coordinate daily logistics.

Key features include a shared daily briefing titled “Your Day Ahead,” which summarizes upcoming events, tasks, and deadlines. The agent can integrate information from Gmail, Calendar, Tasks, and Drive. With explicit user permission, CC can assist with administrative tasks such as pre-filling school permission forms, managing grocery lists, and tracking extracurricular activities.

Privacy is managed through granular controls; users must explicitly share specific emails or documents with the agent. Currently, the multi-user family version is primarily available to adults in the United States with personal Gmail accounts, with others joining a waitlist. The technology utilizes Google’s Antigravity infrastructure to run each instance in an isolated cloud environment.
