Google expands Performance Max reporting to all eligible ad networks

On June 15, Google broadened the reporting capabilities of its Performance Max campaigns to include data from every eligible network. Advertisers can now see performance metrics for video, app, and demand‑generation ads—when linked through Google Merchant Center—in addition to the previously reported search and standard Shopping results. The change offers a more complete picture of how products perform across Google’s advertising ecosystem, but it may also generate temporary spikes in impressions and clicks that do not reflect genuine performance improvements. Marketers are advised to apply network‑level filters and contextualize monthly reports to avoid misinterpreting these metric fluctuations.

The update aims to help advertisers better assess the effectiveness of their campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly, while emphasizing the need for careful data analysis during the transition period.
