Google Fitbit Air set for October launch in India

Google has confirmed that the Fitbit Air, a screen-free fitness tracker, is scheduled to launch in India in October 2026. While official pricing and a specific release date have not been announced, the device has reportedly been spotted at some Indian retail outlets. One retailer is allegedly offering the tracker for approximately Rs 16,000, which would be higher than its international starting price of $99.99.

Early user feedback regarding the device has highlighted its subscription-free health suite, powered by the Google Health app, as a significant advantage over competitors like Whoop and Oura. However, some users have raised concerns regarding the comfort of the proprietary bands, noting that they can feel stiff and may cause skin irritation compared to more flexible alternatives.
