Google Flow offers free daily credits for Veo 3.1 video generation

Google's experimental filmmaking tool, Google Flow, provides users with 50 free credits per day to utilize the Veo 3.1 video generation model. While video generation within the Gemini app typically requires a paid Google AI plan, Google Flow allows for limited free use through these daily credits.

The credit system varies based on the specific model used. For example, generating a Veo 3.1 Lite clip (4 to 8 seconds) costs 10 credits, while a Veo 3.1 Fast clip costs 20 credits. Higher-quality 8-second clips require 100 credits, which exceeds the daily free allowance.

Users can improve video consistency by first establishing specific characters and empty scenes within the tool before generating motion. However, users should note that Google maintains strict safety policies, and generation attempts that violate these policies do not consume credits. Additionally, during peak hours between 2 PM and 5 PM UTC, subscription may be required for video generation.
