Google Gemini updates include macOS voice commands and optional watermarks
Google is introducing several updates to its Gemini AI ecosystem. For macOS users, Google has announced a feature allowing for more natural voice dictation and commands, enabling users to prepare emails and notes with pauses and mid-speech corrections. This rollout is expected to be progressive.
Regarding AI-generated content, Google is making visible watermarks optional for images, videos, and music created within Gemini. While users can now disable the visible 'media watermark' for aesthetic or professional purposes, Google will continue to embed invisible identifiers. These include SynthID technology and C2PA metadata, which allow detectors to identify the content as AI-generated even without a visible icon.
