Google Gemini email access can be disabled in Gmail settings
Google has implemented features that allow its Gemini artificial intelligence to access and scan user emails for training purposes. This data collection includes sensitive information such as professional correspondence, medical records, and financial statements.
Users can prevent this access by adjusting settings within the Gmail web interface. To disable these features, users must navigate to Gmail settings, select ‘View all settings’, and locate the ‘Smart features’ section. From there, the option ‘Turn on smart features in Gmail, Chat, and Meet’ must be deselected to stop the AI from scanning content.
