Google’s Gemini app has reached a milestone of 1 billion monthly users. Data indicates a significant shift toward voice-based engagement, with 63% of users interacting with the AI through speech. Additionally, approximately 1 in 5 Gemini Live sessions involve the use of a live camera feed or screen sharing.

In Southeast Asia, Gemini has doubled its user base. The Philippines has emerged as a key market, leading the region in female adoption and showing high usage for writing assistance, creative tasks, and professional workflows. Usage in the Philippines is notably high for customer support inquiries and job-seeking prompts compared to neighboring countries.

Google continues to expand local language support and Gemini Spark capabilities to drive further growth. The Gemini app's reach is part of a broader AI ecosystem that includes AI Overviews and AI Mode.
