Google Health Enables Bidirectional Sync with Apple Health

Google Health’s version 5.05 update now synchronises fitness and health data in both directions with Apple Health, ending the previous one‑way limitation. Steps, workouts, sleep and vital‑sign data from Fitbit wearables and the Pixel Watch are transferred natively into the Apple ecosystem, and the new “Smart Health Links” feature lets users share medical records directly with doctors or family members.

Separately, experts advise Apple Health users on optimal configuration to boost productivity and health monitoring. They recommend careful management of data sources, setting up the Medical ID for emergencies, and pairing compatible devices such as Withings BPM Connect, OMRON Evolv, Withings Body Smart and Wyze Scale Ultra for accurate cardiovascular and body‑composition tracking.
