Google updates Pixel Watch with 3D emojis and Pixel Buds with Gemini AI

Google is rolling out significant software updates for its Pixel ecosystem. A September update for the Pixel Watch lineup, including models 2, 3, and 4, introduces a new 3D emoji design. This redesign, which features increased depth, detail, and volume, aims to provide a more expressive visual experience on the small watch displays and unifies the aesthetic with Pixel smartphones running Android 17.

Simultaneously, a new update for the Pixel Buds app (version 1.0.981607934) integrates Gemini AI to allow for voice-controlled audio settings. Users can now manage EQ profiles, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) modes, conversation detection, and touch controls using voice commands through Gemini. This update transitions interaction from manual menu navigation to a conversational interface, making the earbuds more responsive to direct verbal requests.
