Google integrates Gemini Notebook into Gemini app

Google has announced the integration of Gemini Notebook as a ‘Connected App’ within the Gemini app. This update allows users to manage and query their notebooks directly through natural language conversations within the Gemini chat interface.

Users can perform various tasks without switching applications, such as creating, editing, or deleting notebooks, adding or updating sources, and retrieving specific information from existing notebooks. The system can also automatically detect when to utilize the Gemini Notebook integration based on user prompts.

The rollout is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users. While the feature is enabled by default globally, it is set to ‘OFF by default’ in the European Economic Area (EEA). For organizational users, access is controlled by administrators and requires both Gemini and Gemini Notebook settings to be enabled for the specific user group or organizational unit.
