Google introduces Android Family Hub in Settings menu
Google is rolling out a new Android Family Hub through Google Play services version 26.43. This feature provides a centralized location within the Android Settings app to manage family group tools, which previously required navigating multiple apps like Family Link and the Play Store.
On compatible devices, the hub allows users to view family group members, shared subscriptions such as Google One and YouTube Premium, shared calendar events, and real-time locations. While early sightings have been noted on Pixel 11 devices, the feature is being delivered via Google Play services, suggesting it may eventually reach a broader range of Android hardware.
Other updates in the Google Play services release include improved device connectivity logs, automatic photo and video backups to Windows via Quick Share, and enhanced controls in Google Password Manager for resolving conflicting credentials during imports.
