Google introduces Rambler AI voice input for Gboard

Google is upgrading its Gboard keyboard app with a new AI-powered voice input feature called ‘Rambler’. Utilizing Gemini AI, the tool aims to transform spoken thoughts into structured, clean text by automatically filtering out filler words, stuttering, and verbal self-corrections.

Unlike traditional dictation, Rambler can handle complex verbal instructions. Users can issue voice commands to edit text, such as ‘replace noodles with ravioli’ or ‘make this text more polite and add emojis’. The feature is designed to work system-wide across Android devices where Gboard is the default keyboard.

Availability appears to be tied to newer hardware, specifically the Pixel 11 series and later. While there are indications that German language support will be included, some advanced Gemini Intelligence features and proactive contextual suggestions may face delayed rollouts in European markets.
