Google launches Avengers: Doomsday interactive Easter egg

Google and Marvel have launched an interactive promotional feature on Google Search to celebrate the upcoming film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. When users search for the movie title, a Doctor Doom icon appears at the bottom of the results page.

Clicking the icon triggers an animation where Doctor Doom’s armored hands appear on the screen, presenting four glowing emblems representing the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and Black Panther (Wakanda). Selecting an emblem activates a Google AI-powered multiple-choice quiz focused on that specific faction. Users must answer questions correctly to ‘clear’ the target from Doom’s list. After completing the quizzes, a countdown clock appears with the message ‘Doomsday Is Coming.’

The promotion coincides with an exclusive preview of the film scheduled to air during Game 1 of the World Series. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is currently seeing significant global presales and is slated for theatrical release on December 18, 2026.
