Google launches daily interactive doodles for 2026 FIFA World Cup
Google has rolled out a series of animated, interactive doodles on its homepage to mark the kickoff of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The doodles change daily, highlighting football moves such as “The Volley” and “The Nutmeg,” and link to a dedicated search hub that provides live scores, group tables, match schedules and highlights.
The designs are also customized for each of the three host nations – the United States, Mexico and Canada – showing the evolution of each country’s football crest. The World Cup, expanding to 48 teams and scheduled from June 11 to July 19, 2026, will be the first edition co‑hosted by the three North‑American countries.
