Google launches Gemini 4 Argon flagship AI model

Google has officially released Gemini 4 Argon, a new flagship artificial intelligence model designed for complex, multi-step professional tasks. The model is optimized for sectors including software engineering, scientific research, finance, law, and cybersecurity.

A key technical feature is its unified context window of 1,048,576 tokens for both input and output, allowing for the processing of massive datasets, long legal documents, and extensive codebases in a single interaction. In internal testing, Google reported that the model increased AI-assisted code submissions by over 35% and significantly reduced code reversions.

Access is available globally via the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, and the Antigravity development platform. For consumers, the model is integrated into Google AI Pro and Ultra subscription tiers. To support the scientific community, Google is providing six months of free access to its highest Antigravity tier for approximately 10,000 scientists.

Initial API pricing is set at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. However, these introductory rates are scheduled to double on December 1, 2026, to $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens.
