Google launches Gemini Spark AI agent in Pakistan via Chrome

Google has introduced Gemini Spark, an AI agent built on the Gemini 3.6 Flash model, as a built‑in feature of its Chrome browser. The service went live on 6 August 2026 for Google AI Ultra subscribers in Pakistan, extending the rollout across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Gemini Spark can operate in the background, handling tasks such as email management, invoice processing, calendar scheduling and travel planning. It is embedded in Google Workspace applications like Gmail, Docs and Sheets, and requires the latest Chrome version, a Google account and an active AI Ultra (or Pro) subscription. Users must enable Safe Browsing and grant explicit approval for high‑impact actions before the agent proceeds.

The agent can browse the web alongside the user, presenting a plan before acting and pausing for confirmation on purchases or sensitive operations. In a demonstration, the author tasked Gemini Spark with comparing TV prices across major retailers, showing the AI navigate sites, apply promo codes and add the chosen product to a cart pending user approval.
