Google expands Gemini AI assistants to more users and legacy devices
Google announced that its Gemini AI services are being broadened. The Gemini Spark agentic assistant is now available to subscribers of the Google AI Pro plan in the United States for $20 per month, while free‑tier users still cannot access it. The rollout excludes the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Nigeria.
At the same time, Google extended Gemini Live to first‑generation Google Home Mini speakers and first‑generation Nest Hub displays. The update adds a 15‑minute conversational memory window and is delivered through the Gemini for Home Early Access program, requiring a Google Home Premium subscription for full functionality.
