Google launches Nano Banana 2 Lite image model and Gemini Omni Flash video tool

Google announced that on June 30 2026 it is making two new generative‑AI models available to developers. Nano Banana 2 Lite is the fastest and cheapest member of Google’s image‑generation family, producing a 1K‑resolution image in about four seconds at a price of $0.034 per 1,000 images. The model is positioned for high‑throughput workflows such as rapid prototyping, large‑scale visual drafts and automated content pipelines.

Gemini Omni Flash is a conversational video‑generation and editing model that can create videos up to ten seconds long at $0.10 per second. It accepts text, image and video inputs, allowing developers to feed an image from Nano Banana 2 Lite and have the system animate it, while subsequent natural‑language prompts can modify the output. Both models are released through Google AI Studio, the Gemini API and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, enabling seamless end‑to‑end pipelines for fast, low‑cost visual content creation.
