Samsung and Google launch new flagship and foldable smartphones

Major smartphone manufacturers are releasing new flagship and foldable devices. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which features a redesigned aspect ratio. The device includes a 5.5-inch outer display with a 10:16 ratio and a 7.6-inch inner display with a 4:3 ratio. Google has released the Pixel 11 series, including the Pixel 11 Pro XL and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The Pixel 11 Pro XL features the Tensor G6 chip and a 6.8-inch Super Actua LTPO-OLED display, though reviews note battery life remains a concern. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold focuses on a slimmer design, weighing 239 grams and measuring 10.1mm thick, while maintaining IP68 dust and water resistance.

Future leaks suggest Google is working on the Pixel 12 Pro Fold, which aims to eliminate the visible screen crease through a redesigned hinge and improved UTG layers. In the standard flagship market, the Pixel 11 Pro offers enhanced customization and a new 'HiLight' LED for notifications and Gemini interactions.
