Google launches Pixel 11 Pro Fold foldable smartphone
Google has released the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, the latest addition to its foldable smartphone lineup. Launched on August 20, 2026, the device features an upgraded Tensor G6 chipset designed to enhance AI processing capabilities. Compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the new model offers a slightly larger 6.5-inch external display and a larger 8-inch internal display, while becoming lighter and thinner.
The device's weight has been reduced from 258g to 239g, and its thickness when folded has decreased to 10.1mm. It also introduces a new 'HiLight' LED feature that uses Gemini AI to communicate notifications through light patterns. The hardware includes a glass-ceramic cover reported to be three times more durable than previous versions and supports Qi2 magnetic charging.
While the device offers improvements in web browsing speed and app launch times, the physical dimensions of the camera housing and pixel counts remain largely consistent with previous generations. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is available in Olive and Obsidian colors, with pricing starting at 279,900 yen on the Google Store.
