Google launches screenless Fitbit Air tracker in India

Google has announced the launch of the Fitbit Air in India, a screenless wearable tracker featuring a pebble-shaped design. Priced at ₹13,999, the device is scheduled to go on sale starting October 2 through the Google Store and various retail partners.

Designed for continuous, low-profile use, the Fitbit Air avoids the distractions of traditional smartwatches by omitting a display. Instead, it focuses on data collection, sending detailed health and activity metrics to the Google Health app on a paired smartphone. The device supports 24-hour heart-rate monitoring, heart-rhythm tracking with atrial-fibrillation alerts, blood-oxygen measurements, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, and sleep tracking.

The tracker offers up to a week of battery life on a single charge and includes fast-charging capabilities that provide a full day of power in five minutes. It also integrates with Google Health Coach to provide personalized guidance based on collected data. The launch includes a three-month trial of Google Health Premium.
