Google Pixel 11 debut and Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max camera review spotlight advanced smartphone imaging
Google announced that its Pixel 11 series will launch on 12 August. A key selling point is the new “Pixel Glow” feature built into the camera flash, which can emit subtle colors to signal notifications, contacts or Gemini AI activity while the phone is face‑down.
Huawei’s latest flagship, the Pura 90s Pro Max, replaces the previous Ultra model. It uses a smaller 1/1.28‑inch main sensor but adds a brighter f/1.4 aperture and a 200 MP per‑iscope telephoto lens with 4× optical zoom. Reviewers note improved low‑light performance and more usable zoom despite the loss of the Ultra’s 1‑inch sensor and dual‑lens switch.
Both devices illustrate divergent approaches to smartphone photography: Google adds visual notification cues, while Huawei focuses on hardware tweaks to boost image quality in challenging lighting.
