Google Pixel 11 faces connectivity issues and software update delays
Google's latest flagship Pixel 11 series is facing software challenges regarding both connectivity and update timelines. Users of the Pixel 11, including the Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold models, have reported significant issues with the Better Together system, which is designed to facilitate cross-device functionality between Android smartphones and Chromebooks.
Reports indicate that some Pixel devices are not being detected by Chromebooks or can only establish a connection once before disappearing from available options. These connectivity problems persist even after performing full resets, clearing cache, or toggling cross-device services. The issues have been observed on devices running the stable version of Android 17.
In addition to connectivity bugs, the Pixel 11 lineup is experiencing delays in receiving the latest Android software updates. While other compatible Android devices have received the Android 17 QPR1 update, the Pixel 11 series remains on the base release, receiving only minor bug fixes. This delay prevents users from accessing new features such as updated media player dynamics, improved quick settings, and new system UI effects.
