Google Pixel 11 features stronger Pixelsnap magnets
The Pixelsnap magnetic system on the new Pixel 11 series features significantly stronger and more reliable magnets compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 10. Testing indicates that the magnetic pull is now only slightly weaker than Apple’s MagSafe connection, providing a more secure attachment for accessories such as kickstands and other magnetic peripherals.
This improvement reduces the likelihood of accessories slipping or being accidentally knocked off the device. While the Pixel 10 required minimal pressure to detach magnetic accessories, the Pixel 11 requires more active force to pry them away.
Currently, Google, HMD, and Motorola are among the few Android manufacturers actively implementing magnetic standards like Qi2 directly into their flagship hardware, whereas other major brands like Samsung often rely on specialized cases to provide similar functionality.
