Google launches Pixel 11 smartphones and first Pixel Tag tracker
Google will hold its Made by Google event on 12 August 2026 in New York, where it will unveil the Pixel 11 lineup. The series comprises four models – Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold – all powered by the new 2 nm Tensor G6 SoC and Titan M3 security chip. Storage starts at 256 GB across the range, with RAM options of 12 GB or 16 GB; the Pro model is expected to drop to 12 GB amid a broader memory‑price surge. Prices rise about $100 versus the previous generation, with the base phone at $899 (≈€999 in Europe), the Pro and Pro XL at $1,199 and the Pro Fold at $1,999. Camera hardware varies: the base model uses a 48 MP main sensor plus a 13 MP ultra‑wide, while the Pro models add a 50 MP main, 48 MP ultra‑wide and a 48 MP periscope telephoto with up to 5× optical zoom. Battery capacities are roughly 4,985 mAh for the base, 4,850 mAh for the Pro and 4,800 mAh for the Fold. The Pro Fold will feature a new “Pixel Glow” LED strip on the back.
Alongside the phones, Google will debut its first Bluetooth tracker, the Pixel Tag. The pill‑shaped device, shown in “Fog Light” colour, lacks a built‑in loop and will rely on Google’s Find Hub network for location services. It includes a small speaker for near‑field alerts, with UWB support and battery type still unconfirmed. The expected retail price is around €30, and the tracker will be announced at the same 12 August event.
