Google Pixel 11 Pro reports audio static during video recording
Users of the Google Pixel 11 Pro are reporting a significant audio defect during video recordings. The issue is characterized by audible static bursts and crackling noises that occur at regular intervals, similar to the interference heard from a Bluetooth device at the edge of its range.
The problem appears linked to advanced AI-driven features, specifically Video Boost and Audio Zoom. Video Boost, which processes video on Google servers to enhance color, lighting, and stabilization, is a primary suspect. While some users report the issue specifically when Video Boost is active, others have encountered the static even with Audio Zoom disabled.
Currently, there is no official fix from Google, though users have identified temporary workarounds. These include clearing the Camera app cache, disabling Audio Zoom, or adjusting the recording frame rate, such as switching from 4K 60fps to 4K 30fps.
