Google updates Pixel Buds Pro 2 with new features and color

Google is rolling out a series of software updates and hardware additions to its Pixel Buds lineup, specifically targeting the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a. A new Olive color option for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is now available for order.

Scheduled for a September rollout, the software updates introduce several key features. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 will receive Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which automatically adjusts to maintain performance if the earbud's seal shifts during movement. Integration with Gemini AI will allow users to control audio settings, such as adjusting the equalizer, via voice commands. Additionally, a new Pixel Watch integration will enable the earbuds to pause audio, disable touch controls, and mute notifications when the watch detects the user has fallen asleep.

Other announced updates include enhanced Live Translate capabilities, supporting over 70 languages in near real-time. Separately, reports regarding the Pixel 11 smartphone lineup indicate potential price increases and shifts in memory configurations, such as the Pro models moving to 12GB of RAM standard.
