Google Pixel users report software bugs and subscription glitches

Google users are reporting two distinct technical issues involving Pixel smartphones and Google services.

A bug in the Google Photos app is preventing users from sharing images after they have been edited, cropped, or rotated. The issue reportedly affects multiple generations of devices, including the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 11 Pro. Users have noted that the share button becomes inactive, and in some instances, editing and trash buttons also freeze. A manual workaround involves reopening the image directly within the app to trigger the sharing function.

Separately, some Pixel owners have discovered a potential glitch regarding Google AI Pro subscriptions. While users are typically entitled to one year of free access with certain devices, several individuals reported being offered a second free year through the My Pixel app. This unexpected extension includes 5TB of storage via the Google One plan, leading some users to suggest others claim the offer before it is corrected.
