Google Pixel Watch 5 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 rumored with upgraded specs
A leak of FCC filings suggests Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch 5 will be offered in four models – two sizes, each with optional LTE – and will retain features such as UWB for precise location, Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, and satellite‑enabled emergency calling. The device is said to use a Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, support fast charging and maintain the Pixel Watch 4’s highly repairable design.
Separately, rumors about Samsung’s next Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 indicate a larger 800 mAh battery (up from 590 mAh) that could extend runtime to about three days, along with the same Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset for better efficiency. The design is expected to stay largely unchanged, with a possible new blue colour, a price near €600, and enhancements to AI‑driven health tools and water resistance. Both watches are slated for announcements later in the summer, with Google possibly unveiling the Pixel Watch 5 alongside the Pixel 11 in August and Samsung targeting a Galaxy Unpacked event in July.
