Google potentially testing new Android Family hub in system settings
Google may be simplifying family group management on Android by introducing a dedicated section directly within the system settings. This feature was identified by Pixel 11 users and reported to Android Authority.
Currently, Android users manage family groups, shared subscriptions like Google One and YouTube Premium, and parental controls through the Family Link app or Google Play Store settings. The proposed update would place a Family entry at the top of the Settings app, opening a dedicated screen. This interface would list group members, shared services, shared calendar appointments, and family location tracking.
It remains unclear whether this is a limited test or a precursor to a wider rollout. At present, the feature has only been observed on Pixel 11 devices.
