Google releases July 2026 Android 17 update for Pixel devices

Google has begun rolling out the July 2026 monthly maintenance patch for Android 17 across its Pixel lineup. The update is available over‑the‑air for Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6 a, 7 series, 8 series, 9 series, 10 series and associated tablets and foldable models, including the Pixel Fold and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

The bulletin lists five specific fixes and notes that no new security vulnerabilities are addressed. The fixes cover: unexpected app crashes or launch failures; incorrect colors or contrast in system widgets; a boot‑loop condition that could prevent devices from loading Android; misaligned navigation buttons on foldable devices after folding or unfolding; and a wallpaper shape‑effect that incorrectly covered the main image. Google says the changes are aimed at improving stability and UI consistency.

Users can receive the update automatically via the Settings → System → Software update menu, or manually download OTA images from Google’s developer site.
