Google releases Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 for Pixel devices
On June 10 2026 Google rolled out Android 17 QPR1 Beta 4 (build CP31.260522.006) to eligible Pixel phones. The update carries the May 2026 security patch and concentrates on seven bug fixes, including an invisible mouse pointer on external displays, a Settings crash in Private Space, screenshot sound being tied to ringer volume, jitter in 5×‑zoom video recording, non‑responsive Back Tap gestures, a graphics driver regression that slowed 3D OpenGL ES apps, and loss of connectivity for Wireless ADB and other local‑network apps.
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were temporarily omitted from the beta list; Google said they will reappear in the next QPR1 beta cycle. Devices that received the update this round include Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and other newer Pixels.
A new “Screen Reactions” feature debuted in the beta, adding a selfie‑camera overlay to screen recordings. Users can toggle the option while recording the whole screen, choose from six background colors, and capture a green‑screen‑like clip without external editing tools.
The beta is available through the Android Beta Program, with OTA images or manual factory flashes for developers and enthusiasts.
