Google releases critical security updates for Chrome and ChromeOS

Google has released critical security and stability updates for the Chrome browser and ChromeOS. The latest stable rollout includes version 155.0.8059.39 for Linux and version 154.0.8037.39/.40 for Windows and Mac.

The update addresses 247 security fixes, four of which are classified as critical. One notable high-impact flaw is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Browser module (CVE-2026-106197), which could potentially allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. Other significant vulnerabilities include issues in the ServiceWorker, AdFilter, and Network modules.

Users are encouraged to update immediately to mitigate these risks. The rollout is being phased across desktop platforms, and a version for Android is also being released to a small percentage of users.
