Google releases new Home Speaker with Gemini AI, launches in U.S. on June 25

Google announced the Google Home Speaker, the first device built around its Gemini for Home AI. The speaker will launch in the United States on 25 June at a price of $99.99, with pre‑orders now open on the Google Store and at Best Buy. Early buyers receive six months of Google Home Premium – a $60‑value subscription that unlocks Gemini Live, complex automations, continued‑conversation features and other premium services that replace the former Nest Aware offering.

The device supports 360‑degree audio, new voice‑enabled features such as natural‑language multi‑step requests, context‑aware follow‑ups and “Continued Conversation” that keeps the microphone active after a response. Users can ask Gemini to control lights, play music, set timers, draft calendar invites and more, all without repeating a wake‑word. The speaker will be available in Hazel and Porcelain colours, alongside Jade and Berry variants for the U.S. market. The launch marks the next generation of Google Home hardware after the 2020 Nest Audio.
