Google rolls out Android Canary build 2607 to Pixel phones
Google has released Android Canary build 2607 (tag ZP11.26018.005) to supported Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6 series through the Pixel 10 lineup, as an OTA update of roughly 789‑825 MB. The build delivers July 2026 security patches, a minor kernel update, and aligns the Canary channel with Android 17 QPR1 beta 6.
Key user‑visible changes include a redesigned Wallpaper & Style overlay, a new blue splash icon for Settings, updated quick‑settings behavior, and per‑app toggle controls for Google Drive backups. Health Connect now shows individual device toggles for distance and active‑calorie data. Known issues remain, such as a crash when opening the Sound & Vibration menu.
The update is being rolled out gradually to users enrolled in the experimental program, with standard installation steps via Settings → System → Software update. Google advises backing up data before installing, as the first installation wipes the device.
