Google rolls out Gemini AI features to Chrome and Maps for Brazil

Google announced at the Google for Brazil event that its Gemini artificial‑intelligence system is being integrated into two of its core services for Brazilian users.

In Chrome, Gemini can summarise webpages, answer questions, edit images, draft emails and work across multiple open tabs, acting as a persistent AI assistant. The feature is live on desktop and iOS versions of the browser, with an Android rollout planned.

On Maps, a new "Ask Maps" chat lets users request personalised recommendations—such as nearby restaurants or available tables—by combining location history with data from more than 300 million places and 500 million reviews. The conversational tool will be available to all users in Brazil within weeks.
