Google rolls out Google Health app 5.07 update

Google has announced the rollout of version 5.07 of the Google Health app for both Android and iOS users. The update, which will be released in phases over the coming week depending on device and carrier, focuses on improving data accuracy, manual logging, and interface stability.

Key enhancements include improved manual workout logging, allowing users to add and adjust more metrics with faster updates to activity summaries. The update also refines swimming logs, specifically when transitioning between pool and open water exercises. For runners and cyclists, trail and incline runs will now be correctly included in total running distance calculations.

Technical improvements address map performance, offering faster loading times and smoother rendering, while fixing a bug where maps would occasionally disappear during tracked sessions. Additionally, the weight tracking graph has been recalibrated with a dynamic minimum and maximum range to better visualize trends. The update also resolves a connectivity issue between the app and Health Connect on Android devices.
