Google began rolling out the June “Pixel Drop” update on June 16, delivering Android 17 to Pixel smartphones, folds and the Pixel Watch. The update introduces “Screen reactions,” which embeds a selfie video over a screen recording, and “Bubbles” that turn apps into floating windows, with a dedicated “Bubble Bar” on supported folds.

Several AI‑driven tools are added: Gemini Omni enables generative video creation from natural‑language prompts, while Lyria 3 lets users generate music tracks. Gemini also powers on‑device photo editing and voice translation, now available on newer Pixel models including the Pixel 10a.

Safety features are expanded on the Pixel Watch with emergency detection for car crashes, falls and loss of pulse. Feature roll‑outs are broadened to additional markets such as Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and India, alongside new Quick Share, Manual Call Screen and Custom Greetings options.
