Google rolls out new Android and Gemini AI features

Google has introduced several new features to the Android ecosystem through its September update, known as the ‘September Android Drop’. Key additions include the integration of Gemini into the Find Hub, which allows users to manually record the locations of non-electronic items like passports or keys using voice commands or photos.

Other updates include Motion Assist, Guided Vision in Gemini Live, enhanced collaboration between Google Keep and Google Messages, and new personalized chat themes. Availability of these features varies based on device, region, and Android version.

Additionally, Google has made the ‘Daily Brief’ feature available to free Gemini users. Previously a premium offering for Pro or Ultra subscribers, this tool analyzes Gmail, Google Calendar, and recent Gemini interactions to provide an intelligent summary of urgent tasks and upcoming events. While providing executive-style assistance, the feature relies on accessing user digital data to function.
