Google tests AI‑generated lock‑screen clocks for Pixel phones
Google is experimenting with a new feature that uses artificial intelligence to create custom lock‑screen clock designs on Pixel smartphones. The feature was discovered in the Android Canary 2608 build and lets users type a text prompt and optionally upload an image to guide the AI in generating a unique set of numerals from 0‑9 in any material or visual style.
The interface shows an “Enter AI Prompt” field, suggested ideas, and a gallery for saving multiple creations. The tool is currently limited to digital clocks and is not yet active on Google’s servers, so it may not reach a public release. The development follows earlier AI‑generated wallpaper experiments and arrives as the existing eight clock styles on Pixel have not been updated for some time.
