Google tests new ad controls for Shopping and Performance Max campaigns
Google is trialing a feature in its Shopping search interface that lets users hide or show sponsored product listings. The option, observed in screenshots shared by industry analysts, adds a "Hide Sponsored Products" toggle that mirrors a similar function introduced for main search results last October.
In a separate test, Google has added a "Partners (Alpha)" setting to Performance Max campaigns, allowing advertisers to opt in or out of Search Partners and the Google Display Network. Previously, these networks were automatically included. The alpha‑stage control is currently available to a limited set of advertisers and aims to give more granular control over where ads appear.
Both tests are in early rollout phases, with Google monitoring advertiser and user feedback before any broader release.
