Google unveils Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5 with AI health features

Google has unveiled its 2026 flagship lineup, featuring the Pixel 11 series, which includes the standard Pixel 11, Pro, Pro XL, and the Pro Fold. The new smartphones are equipped with faster chips, improved cameras, and exclusive Android 17 features. In the U.S., the base Pixel 11 starts at $899 for 256GB of storage, with retail availability beginning August 20, 2026.

Alongside the phones, Google introduced the Pixel Watch 5 and the Health Guardian suite. A standout feature is the Insulin Resistance Trends engine, which uses the WEAR-ME AI model to analyze physiological data—such as heart rate and skin temperature—to identify metabolic risk patterns without requiring blood samples. This feature is expected to roll out in late 2026 for Pixel Watch 3, 4, and 5, as well as Fitbit Air.

Additional hardware updates include the Highlight feature for high-end Pixel 11 models, which uses an RGB LED ring around the camera to visually signal specific notifications. Google also continues its commitment to device longevity, promising seven years of spare parts availability for the Pixel 11 series. Meanwhile, marketing for the new lineup has teased a potential new screen-equipped fitness tracker, possibly a Fitbit Charge 7.
