Google shifts Pixel production to Vietnam and India, launches Pixel 11 series

Google is launching its new Pixel 11 smartphone series, featuring the Tensor G6 chip and deep integration with Gemini AI. The lineup includes the standard Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, and the Pixel 11 Pro XL, alongside a new foldable, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Key hardware updates include improved camera sensors, brighter displays reaching up to 3,600 nits, and faster wireless charging via Qi2.2.

Simultaneously, Google is executing a major strategic shift in its manufacturing operations. The company plans to move the entire production of the Pixel ecosystem—including smartphones, Pixel Watches, and Pixel Buds—out of China by 2027. This relocation is driven by the need to mitigate geopolitical risks and supply chain disruptions stemming from tensions between the United States and China. Manufacturing will be transitioned to facilities in Vietnam and India, where Google has already begun increasing production capacity.
