Google unveils new AI tools for the education sector

Google has announced a new suite of artificial intelligence tools specifically designed for the educational community. These tools aim to enhance the interaction between teachers and students and improve the learning process rather than simply accelerating content delivery.

Key features include Gemini Notebook, a research assistant that allows users to upload educational materials to create podcasts, video presentations, maps, infographics, quizzes, and flashcards with source citations. The Guided Learning function uses Gemini to analyze complex topics step-by-step by asking guiding questions. Additionally, Gemini Live and Deep Research enable students to engage in verbal discussions about educational content and generate detailed research reports with integrated citations.
