Google Pixel Watch 5 specs leak: same chip, RAM upgraded to 3 GB

Google has posted a listing for the upcoming Pixel Watch 5 on the Google Play Console under the codename “godric”. The data shows the smartwatch will retain the Qualcomm SW5100 Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 platform used in the Pixel Watch 2, 3 and 4, with a quad‑core ARM Cortex‑A53 CPU (1.7 GHz) and an Adreno 702 GPU. No new processor is introduced, and the co‑processor is not disclosed.

The only hardware change is an increase in RAM from 2 GB to 3 GB, the first memory boost since Google entered the smartwatch market. The extra memory is intended to support the new Gemini Intelligence AI features. The exterior design is expected to mirror the Pixel Watch 4, with additional colour options for cases and straps.

Google plans to unveil the Pixel Watch 5 on 12 August at a Made‑by‑Google event in New York, alongside the Pixel 11 phones. Pricing is anticipated to be higher than the previous model, reflecting the RAM upgrade and AI capabilities, but the core chipset remains unchanged.
