Google updates Chrome with security patches and enhances Gemini AI
Google has released a critical security update for the Chrome browser, moving version 152 to the stable channel for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The update addresses 37 security vulnerabilities, including several critical ‘use after free’ flaws in components such as ANGLE, Aura, Chromecast, and Views. Users are encouraged to update manually via the browser settings to protect their privacy and data.
Separately, Google announced a new feature for its Gemini AI application designed to enhance learning through interactive visualizations. The update allows the AI to transform complex queries into custom visual elements, such as tables, grids, and 3D simulations. For example, users can interactively rotate and zoom into 3D models, such as DNA structures, directly within the chat interface. This functionality is being rolled out to Google Workspace and Workspace Individual users.
