Google updates Google Home and Google TV features

Google has introduced new features for its smart home and media ecosystem. A new wireless pairing capability allows the Google Home Speaker to connect to the Google TV Streamer via Wi-Fi. This update enables users to pair up to two speakers to create a mini home theater with spatial audio support, including Dolby Atmos, overcoming the latency and quality limitations typically associated with Bluetooth connections.

Additionally, a Google Home update has introduced several refinements to the Gemini-powered voice assistant. Improvements include more accurate Spotify command recognition for songs and playlists, and a new two-step process for broadcast commands to reduce miscommunication. The update also adds granular control for smart lighting, allowing users to set specific color temperatures using Kelvin ratings through voice commands.
